If I had known that was our last hug, I would have held you tighter.
If I had known that was the last time, we had a decent exchange of pleasantries,
I would have concocted thousands of questions to keep you talking.
If I had known that was the last most beautiful look you will ever give me,
I would have danced forever.
I should have pressed harder my lips to your cheek and stayed there till eternity.
It happened too quickly; you were reluctant at first.
Then you pulled away as fast as you could.
“Something didn’t feel right,” I thought.
Indeed, something was not.
If only I had known, You knew.
